How can we help?

Find quick answers for subscriptions, iCloud sync, shared workspaces, smart manual import, appointment requests, claim tickets, customer inventories, mechanic workflows, messages, quotes, service thresholds, feedback, Siri, notifications, subscriptions, and invoicing.

Before requesting help

Check that you have the latest App Store version, then restart the app. For sync issues, include the device model, OS version, and the message shown under Settings → Backup & Sync in your support request.

How do I restore a subscription?

Open Settings in Lawn Equipment Manager, then choose Restore Purchases. Make sure the device is signed in to the Apple ID that purchased the subscription. The app checks existing signed StoreKit entitlements before and after asking the App Store to synchronize, so an existing purchase can be recovered even if the sync request itself reports an error.

How does the 7-day Pro trial work?

When the introductory offer is available for your Apple ID, choose Pro and confirm the subscription through Apple. You receive Pro access for 7 days before the first charge. Cancel in Apple’s subscription settings before the trial ends and you pay nothing. Apple determines offer eligibility and shows the exact renewal date before confirmation.

Why is my iCloud data not appearing?

Confirm that both devices use the same Apple ID, iCloud Drive is enabled, and Lawn Equipment Manager is allowed to use iCloud. Open Settings and choose Check iCloud Sync. The progress bar shows active setup, download, or upload work. Sync is system-managed and has no fixed interval, so a large first sync can take several minutes. If a message includes IC-2 or IC-15, include that code when contacting support.

Do invited employees need to buy a subscription?

No. Invited employees use the workspace owner’s active plan. Pro supports up to 2 invited employees and Business supports up to 20. Free does not include staff sharing.

What are the Business customer tiers?

Business 5 supports 5 connected customers for $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year. Business 25 supports 25 for $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year. Business 50 supports 50 for $14.99 per month or $149.99 per year. A connection is counted when the shop shares Customer App access; ordinary customer records remain unlimited on paid plans. Every Business tier supports up to 20 staff members.

What happens when a staff member is removed?

In Team Access, swipe left on the staff member and choose Remove (or use the context menu on Mac). This revokes their CloudKit access. When their device next connects and completes an iCloud sync, the shop’s shared records are removed and the shop-provided plan is replaced by their own Free, Pro, or Business plan. An offline device may temporarily retain previously downloaded content until it reconnects and syncs.

What happens if I stay on the Free plan?

Free supports up to 5 equipment records, 5 parts, and 5 customers. Existing records remain visible if you are over a limit, but records above the free allowance cannot be added or updated until you reduce the count or subscribe.

How do I import equipment from a PDF manual?

In Safari, share a PDF service manual to Lawn Equipment Manager. On a supported Apple Intelligence device, the app analyzes searchable text on-device; image-based PDFs can be scanned with on-device OCR. It identifies equipment details, maintenance intervals, storage tasks, and troubleshooting guidance. Confirm the suggested details and manual-cover picture before creating the equipment. Manuals that cover several models may require you to enter the exact model.

How do manual troubleshooting links work?

Open an equipment record and scan its attached manual. The Troubleshooting section lists manual-supported symptoms, causes, and corrective steps. Tap an entry to open the manual at its cited page. Maintenance tasks use the same page-linked behavior. Existing equipment can use Scan Manual Again to add the new guidance.

How does the app handle manuals containing several languages?

Manual import focuses on pages matching the device language. Searchable pages are filtered before analysis, and scanned pages use OCR configured for that language when supported. If no matching pages are found, the app explains which device language it expected instead of mixing instructions from different translated sections.

How do I clear incorrect information imported from a manual?

Open the equipment record and choose Clear Imported Manual Information. This removes routine-maintenance tasks, winterization and storage steps, and troubleshooting details created by manual analysis. Service and maintenance history stays intact. Attach the correct manual if needed, then scan it again.

Why did a manual scan pause?

On-device analysis pauses when the equipment screen is no longer visible or the app is interrupted, such as by a phone call. Return to the equipment record and choose Resume Scan. Progress already completed is retained when possible.

Can connected customers see information imported from a manual?

The shop controls this under Manual Information in My Service. Routine maintenance, winterization and storage, and troubleshooting can each be shared independently. Customers see only imported guidance that the shop enables; the manual PDF and shop-only notes remain private.

How can customers request an available appointment time?

The shop first opens Settings, chooses Availability & Opening Hours, enters its business hours and appointment capacity, and enables Show Free Times to Customers. A connected customer can then choose a free start time in My Service. The customer never sees other customers, jobs, staff, or blocked-time details. Every selection remains a request until the shop approves it or proposes a different time.

Where can the shop find customer reschedule requests?

Open Scheduler and choose the orange Appointment Requests banner. It lists every waiting customer with the equipment, current appointment, and requested time. The shop can approve the requested time directly or open the job to propose something different. The appointment-slot capacity setting controls how many overlapping appointments may remain available.

How do equipment claim tickets work?

Open the scheduled job when the shop physically accepts the equipment, then choose Receive Equipment & Create Claim Ticket. The app records the time and staff member, assigns a stable claim number, notifies the customer, and opens AirPrint. The PDF includes the configured shop logo and contact information, equipment identification, requested work, and customer and staff signature lines. The same ticket can be reprinted or shared later.

Can customers track equipment they maintain themselves?

Yes, when the shop enables Allow Personal Equipment & Parts under Availability & Opening Hours. Customer mode then includes a Personal Garage, My Equipment, and My Parts for private records the customer manages. Shop-managed equipment, appointments, service updates, and claim tickets remain in My Service and are never mixed with the customer’s personal inventory.

How does the mechanic’s My Work schedule work?

A mechanic opens Scheduler to see work assigned to their current staff identity in day, week, or month view. Open a job to change its work status, record parts used, or choose Mark Ready & Notify Customer. Recording parts deducts them from inventory once. Managers and staff with scheduling permission can switch between My Work and the full shop schedule.

How do quotes and customer approvals work?

The shop creates a repair quote with parts and labor and sends it to the connected customer. It appears in the customer’s Messages section with a button that opens the full quote. The customer approves or denies the work, and the shop can see that decision before proceeding.

What appears in customer Messages?

Connected customers receive shop updates such as schedule notices, appointment reminders, quotes, and Ready for Pickup messages. A message can open its related action, including scheduling, rescheduling, or quote review. Customers can mark messages read or clear them. Messages are hidden when the device is not connected in shop-customer mode.

What determines which equipment Needs Attention?

Home includes equipment due within the operating-hour threshold plus equipment explicitly marked Needs Service. Change the threshold under Settings, Maintenance, Attention Threshold. A shop’s value is shared across its workspace and also controls Service Notifications; a personal garage saves its own threshold on that device. The shop notification screen can also show Overdue Only.

Can equipment status names be changed?

Yes. Equipment Statuses in Settings includes editable labels and a default status. Shops can grant or remove status-changing permission by staff role. Renaming a shop status updates that label everywhere the shared record appears, including connected customer devices.

How does a customer leave or reconnect to a shop?

In customer mode, Settings includes Leave Shop. Leaving removes the shop connection and returns personal equipment and parts to the plan’s normal record limits. To reconnect, the same shop or another shop using Lawn Equipment Manager must send a new invitation.

How do I send feedback or request a feature?

Open Settings and choose Send Feedback. Select a category, enter a summary and details, and submit it directly to the developer through CloudKit. You can optionally include the app version, iOS version, and device type. Use Rate on the App Store when you want to leave a public review instead.

What can I ask Siri?

After launching the updated app once, try “What equipment needs service in Lawn Equipment Manager?”, “What lawn mowers need service in Lawn Equipment Manager?”, or “What parts should I order in Lawn Equipment Manager?” Equipment and parts are also indexed for Spotlight and available as actions in Shortcuts.

How do I verify notifications are working?

Open Settings and choose Send Test Notification. Allow notifications if prompted. The app schedules a test alert to appear in a moment; if notifications are disabled, enable them for Lawn Equipment Manager in the system Settings app. Do not force quit the app by swiping it away in the App Switcher if you rely on shared-data alerts. After a force quit, reopen the app to resume background sync and alerts.

What does Sync Shared Data Now do?

Changes to records already in a workspace sync automatically. Sync Shared Data Now checks the workspace and adds records that are not yet attached to its CloudKit share. The app shows how many records it is checking or adding, while Apple performs the batch transfer in the background.

How do I print or send an invoice?

Open an invoice and choose AirPrint Invoice to print, or Email or Share PDF to open the system share sheet and send the PDF using an available mail app.

How do I cancel or change a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Select Lawn Equipment Manager to change or cancel the plan.
